Alcohol and GPA: 2008 CORE Data

Over the past six years we have worked with SIU Carbondale’s CORE Institute to create practical ways to incorporate the reliable normative data collected by the CORE Survey into the eCHECKUP TO GO. We use these data to help achieve our goals to reduce destructive drinking and challenge students’ perceptions of “normal” and “typical” alcohol and drug use.

The CORE Institute has just recently completed the analysis of their most recent data set, and the impact of alcohol use on student success and achievement continues to be remarkable. We wanted to share that information with you and we encourage you to share it widely.
